Secondary Welcome

Dear Parents,

I’m delighted to welcome you as the newly appointed Director of Senior School at BSE.

First and foremost, I would like to express my deep gratitude for entrusting us with your children’s education. It is an immense privilege to become a part of the BSE family, a school renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to holistic development.

Since I arrived at BSE, I have been given a very warm welcome. The sense of community connection, dedication and passion at the BSE have been evident throughout my transition into the new role.

This year marks my 30th year as an educator. My passion for teaching and education started when I was still in college studying Medicine at Surgery at Cairo University, where I graduated with honours in 1994. During my college years I was teaching advanced Biology and Chemistry courses to AP and IB students. A few years after graduating, my passion and love for education made me decide to shift to education as my main profession. I worked in 5 schools before joining the BSE, and worked at my last school for 23 years.

During the 23 years at my former school, I held several leadership positions: Head of Discipline, Head of Activities, Deputy Principal, High School Principal, Middle and High school Principal, Director of American Division and finally Deputy Director of all schools (American, British, National and French). 

During my educational career I acquired several educational credentials such as:

  • Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the Grand Canyon University, USA
  • IB biology teacher licence
  • IB Head of school licence
  • Five Star Teacher Training Diploma from the Council on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation
  • Data Driven Decisions For School Improvement Diploma
  • Effective Learning Environment Observation licence

As we embark on this exciting journey together, my primary goal is to foster an environment and culture where every student feels valued, inspired, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. 

Our Senior School focuses on supporting every student, whether they choose a  traditional academic route or a tailored curriculum. We prioritise student progress and value their time with us. With highly trained staff, an inspiring curriculum, a dedicated pastoral team, and

strong home-school partnerships, we aim to provide an outstanding comprehensive educational experience.

I’m a firm believer in the importance of a well-rounded education. Experiences outside the classroom play a vital role in shaping our students’ personal and social development. We will strive to provide these experiences through a wide range of activities, events, and trips that cater to diverse interests. These activities not only enhance academic learning, but also personal growth, character development and the sense of social responsibility.

I believe that a happy and engaged student is more likely to succeed and excel academically.

Finally, I strongly encourage open lines of communication between our staff, parents, and students. We believe that a successful educational journey is best achieved through collaboration and partnership.
