The British School of Egypt is a co-educational British international school delivering the National Curriculum for England. At The BSE, we have devised and implemented a wonderfully student-centred approach which we call Complete Well BSE-ing. Complete Well BSE-ing is a unique and holistic approach to maintaining a childs’ Academic Well Being; Physical Well Being; Social & Emotional Well Being; and their Spiritual Well Being. We believe if pupils learn how to live well for school, they will understand how to live well for life.
About The School
LIVE WELL FOR SCHOOL, LIVE WELL FOR LIFE
What makes us different from other schools is that all that we do is underpinned by mindfulness and a growth mindset approach. At The BSE, we understand that the mind is a powerful tool and we need to understand how to take care of it in order to succeed in the increasingly frantic world we live in. We invest the time and expertise in training staff and pupils, and equipping them with the skills and strategies required to harness the power of the mind and in doing so, exceed their potential.
The British School of Egypt opened in 2010 in the exclusive Sheikh Zayed community on the West of Cairo.
We are a well-established school with over 13 years experience in successfully teaching the National Curriculum of England to children from 2.5 years to 17 years of age.
We have an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding results across the Key Stages and particularly in KS4/5 with our proven and consistent IGCSE, AS and A-Level examination results.
We have a vibrant pupil population with currently over 1380 students from different nationalities. We teach Pre-Foundation Stage to Year 12 at present. We are lucky to be based on a large campus with dedicated buildings for Early Years, Primary School and Secondary School. We have excellent facilities which include a large theatre, a heated swimming pool, sporting facilities, science laboratories, music rooms, art rooms, drama rooms and ICT rooms.
We pride ourselves on our experienced and passionate staff. All our teachers are qualified in their stages or subjects areas. They work effectively alongside our specialist teachers who deliver important elements of our rich and balanced curriculum such as, French, Performing Arts, Music, Art & Design in addition to the Ministry of Education’s Arabic, Islamic and Social Studies curriculum.
Learning and teaching standards are constantly observed, and monitored to ensure we continue to develop our practice and give our students the best learning environments and the opportunities to experience forward-thinking approaches to teaching and learning.
We are proud members of COBIS, the Council of British International Schools. Joining COBIS has enabled us to connect with good quality British Schools and professionals around the world, and that brings a wealth of opportunity to the school.
Our Senior Leadership Team are mainly British, bringing years of experience from schools in the UK and all over the world to The BSE.
